FILIPINOMEOCONNECT.COM was founded in 2007 by Benito Calderon, MD, a board certified Internal Medicine Physician in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the course of his practice, Dr. Calderon often found himself being asked by patients about which physicians and medical facilities they can go to when they visit or retire in the Philippines. Realizing the need for such a service that would provide this kind of information, Dr. Calderon developed the concept of an online directory of Filipino physicians and medical facilities, not only in the Philippines, but also in various geographical locations around the world. While conceptualizing the website, his idea expanded to providing complementary services and information that would enhance the website and build an online community. Thus, FILIPINOMEOCONNECT.COM was born.
